A classroom website would allow my students to access all the resources we use in class using one location, as well as allow students to get work that they missed without me having to track them down. It also would let my students' parents to contact me and see what their children are working on.

I think that there are many advantages to having a class website. Specifically, connected to today's topic, I think that a class website could be a great launching pad to whatever the technological task is for the day. If students know that there is one central place to go to find this information, it seems like it would streamline the process and save a lot of time once routines are established.

I'd love to have a website for my classes, but I'm not sure how often I'd have to check the site. How often would I have to update it? Do you use it for HW only? If so, do you find it difficult for some students to get assignments done from home? I know that this would help me as far as staying organized is concerned, so I guess that is what is most important. I'm only worried about the students' ability to access this from home... I guess.

This site is ideal. It is accessible by students and parents. It also takes away the mundane experience of learning. This could also meet Domain 4 requirements in the sense that it connects parents, students and the instructor with the material being covered in class. That could potentially be a score of 4 considering there is an option for students to comment. Additionally, it forces us to think differently when planning lessons.
